Do you ever make up stories about people in an airport as you’re patiently waiting to board? We all people watch, right? Everyone has a story. Well, this is how I felt when I bumped into one of Miguel’s posts on the Fiction Dealer.
What immediately drew me in was his micro-dosing of the very short fictional stories that he offers. They are just 50-100 words per post. Included in each post is a dose of inspiration with a prompt for you to try it yourself.
If intrigued, there are weekly community recap posts to read also. They include other authors that have taken the prompts to create a short fictional story with the same amount of words. Such a great idea!!
However, that’s not the extent of his talent. There are three sections to the Fiction Dealer to cozy up to: Microdosing of Fiction, Serials, and Flash Fiction. The last two have longer posts.
This is one of his stories from the Serials Section -
One of the comments from this story by E.T. Hansen of Poetry & Purpose:
“Good story – mystery, build-up, now I want to know how he's going to get away with it! (It's a strange phenomenon of fiction that you immediately identify with the main character and want him to succeed or survive, even if he's a murderer!)”
The following is a post from 6/17/2024. It’s a 60 word fictional story. It’s so powerful that it allows your imagination to want to continue on with creating more of the story.
