Intro. to Our Prompt
In Human Design, Profile 2 is known as the Hermit.
These people are naturally gifted but often unaware of where their talents come from. While others may "call them out," seeking their involvement, Hermits prefer to be left alone to do things their own way. They are self-contained and can feel very uncomfortable when others step into their space or expect something from them.
They resist interference and avoid explaining how they do what they do, valuing their independence. Often, they steer clear of taking sides to conserve their energy. Hermits are waiting for the right call that align with them. If they answer calls that doesn’t resonate, they risk frustration and isolating themselves even more.
100-Word Self-Awareness Challenge
Prompt: Hermit
Sandy stared at her reflection, tugging at her hair. Another blind date. She didn’t even know why she agreed. The compliments, the invitations... they always felt like a spotlight shining too bright. Everyone seemed to see something in her that she couldn’t grasp.
She sighed, glancing at her phone. 7:03 p.m. He’d be waiting, probably with questions, wanting to "figure her out." She shivered at the thought.
Another text buzzed. You ready?
Her fingers hovered over the screen, itching to cancel. This. This is the hermit life, kicking and screaming all the way.
I guess hermits can’t hide forever.
Have you or do you know of someone that is living the hermit life, kicking and screaming all the way?

Lori K Today reflects on life through mostly short fictional stories. Focusing on mental health, wellness, and experimenting with Human Design.
…i see myself awake and uncaring…thousands of hundreds of thousands of people i don’t know asking me for nothing…they are there on the TV…hidden by commercials i don’t watch while i make myself a forgotten breakfast…i think it was eggs…endless horror to eat dead birth and give myself life…but i am a vampire…i learned to chat gpt today…i will suck on everyone else to sustain myself…i told my boss so he would keep paying me…he took me to lunch and said we were both being fired and asked me if i knew anyone who would hire us…i went home and boiled new eggs for a snack tomorrow…i added cumin for flavor…
Hermit, that's me! I related to 90% of the description, except that I can be highly opinionated.
