Ana's New Store Adventures with Her Mystical Manager
Miles Apart: The Store with the Vibrating Crystal

Dear Charlie,
Well, my first day at the store went about as smoothly as you’d expect for a grand opening. Part chaos, part magic, and a sprinkle of "What the heck was I thinking?" I can’t believe that after three years of planning, I’m finally here. On my own. Living the dream. Cue the Pointer Sisters because, yes, I’m so excited and I just can’t hide it!
Anyway, I am so glad I found Keri. She is my partner-in-crime, the perfect manager for my store, and apparently, my in-house psychic. She’s exactly as I described her to you before and then some. She kind of reminds me of Karen Walker from the 90’s show, Will & Grace but swap the vodka for a love of all things mystical.
She’s got this energy, Charlie, like a tornado in yoga pants, blending intuition with business. Watching her in the shop is like watching a kid in a candy store, except the candy are sage bundles, herbs, essential oils, books, art, crystals, and so much more.
Today, a frazzled customer walked in, and before I could even greet her, Keri swooped in with her psychic radar fully activated. She tilted her head, squinted like she was solving a Rubik’s cube, and said, “Oh, honey, you’ve been holding onto something heavy, haven’t you?”
The woman froze, clearly caught off guard. Then Keri dropped her intuitive bombshell: “It’s your man. He’s not right for you, and deep down, you know it.” You should have seen this woman’s face Charlie… jaw on the floor!
As she was checking out, she whispered to me, ‘I chose this particular crystal because it literally vibrated in my hands when I held it. I can already feel the healing and spiritual growth happening within me.’
I didn’t think much of it until later.
She not only walked out with the beautiful vibrating crystal for grounding her energy, but with some sage, a book on setting boundaries, and most importantly… feeling heard and seen. I swear, Keri is a walking marketing campaign wrapped in a mystical intuitive cloak.
I've always been too afraid to voice my intuitive feelings about others the way Keri does. Watching her is a breath of fresh air. I could sense the same energy she picked up on when the woman walked in, but I would never have had the courage to say it out loud. Charlie, I’m telling you, this store is already a vortex of weird and wonderful.
The thought of that vibrating crystal had me reflecting on how much I ignore my intuition in favor of overthinking. Makes me wonder what would happen if I trusted myself more. It’s like a metaphor for life’s nudges, reminders to stay grounded while still being open to unseen possibilities.
Earlier in the day, as I stood in the quiet before we opened, I thought about that mysterious letter I told you about, the one from the other side. Standing there, sunlight streaming through the windows, it felt like that message was meant for this exact moment. It’s strange how that letter arrived when it did. Like it was nudging me to trust this leap, stop overcomplicating things, and trust my intuition.
Opening this store wasn’t just about starting a business. It feels more like creating a space for connection, for healing, for a little bit of magic, and listening to something deeper.
You know how hard the last few year’s have been, how heavy things have felt. But here I am, finally doing the thing, and it feels kinda good now. That sense of relief and hope from our frazzled customer made it abundantly clear that this is the right path for me.
I know I’m rambling, but I needed to unload. Feeling heard, seen, and validated is such an incredible healing gift to receive. What a treat for Keri to give that gift to this woman and for you to give it to me. Maybe the unknown isn’t done surprising me yet.
Xo, Ana
P.S. Just as I was about to turn off the lights and go home, one of my bigger, heavier crystals on the shelf vibrated for a second. I know I'm not seeing things because Keri noticed it too. I'll have to tell you more about it in my next letter, gotta go for now.
P.S.S. I am so glad you liked my newest song! I obsessed over this one a little longer than usual.
