Goddess Treatment
Respecting women for the beauty of humanity with this short essay and poem.
Goddess literally is defined as a female deity. Deity is defined as divine status, quality, or nature. Oftentimes, we think of a Goddess as having beauty. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. In my opinion all women are beautiful. I’m equating the Goddess treatment as respecting women. Not as seeing them as less than others. See the connection?
The amount of respect given to girls and women need to change for so many reasons. Women should have at least the bare minimum of no less than the Goddess Treatment.
What women are put through by others, let alone by mother nature is enough to warrant this status.
Let’s start with listing just a few things that mother nature puts girls and women through.
Girls:
Teenage hormones
Figuring out the menstruation cycle
Tender breasts as they develop
Women:
Continued monthly pain, tenderness, bloat, and irritation with menstruation
All the body and hormonal changes along with pain that come with child birth
A lot of women face postpartum depression due to hormones after child birth
Some women have to go through the painful procedure of partial or full hysterectomies
Then last, but certainly not least there’s peri-menopause and menopause
Let’s make Goddess Treatment the new norm!
Why hasn’t there been more studies for women? More doctors that understand and listen to women? More antidotes for women? More overall compassion and respect for women? For the beauty of humanity.
We all come from the woman’s womb, respect that if nothing else.
Let’s show more respect for all girls and women to their face and behind their backs. We are hard enough on ourselves, we don’t need others to ignite that torch.
End Rant.
Goddess Poem
I deserve it.
The best in life for me.
Worthy of it all,
unconditionally.
Because I exist,
there’s no need to resist.
It comes so naturally
Being a Goddess like me.
